HOW?
By a car, bike, trike or tractor? We highly recommend a car. Buying price should NOT exceed the equivalent of 25.000czk which is about 967.29 Euro. The modifications are not considered in the buying price. AWD sucks. Buy a beater and have a blast in it. Don’t spend too much on the car or you will kill the spirit. Or get yourself some old (older than 33years) beater and enjoy the adventure with an old car.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN THE RULES OF WINTER EDITION TO SUMMER EDITION?
Your car must have legal winter tires. You must have snow chains with you all the time. We recommend to wear winter clothing.
WHAT IS THE ROUTE?
The route is not given so it’s totally up to you which road you choose. You will be given the GPS coordinates that you should visit. It’s totally up to you how you get there.
I DON’T HAVE A CAR YET. CAN I REGISTER?
Hell yea. You can get your ride later.
HOW MUCH MONEY DOES THIS WHOLE ADVENTURE COSTS?
Basically just the registration fee, gas money, food and accommodation. You can couch surf, use a tent or stay in the hotels so it is up to you how lowcost you want to go.
CAN I MOD MY CAR?
We highly recommend pimping it to your liking. Respray it or use the paint roller (we know you always wanted to try that), put some stickers on it. The funnier the car is, the better.
IT IS A RALLY, IS IT A TIME ATTACK? DO MY SPEED MATTER?
NO! NO! and NO! It might be called rally but it’s on public roads. So no street racing is allowed. Stay within the limits. Enjoy the scenery. The time does NOT matter.
WHAT IF MY CAR BREAKS DOWN?
That is a shame! But it happens and that is a part of the challenge. You will need to help yourself. Or help someone else if you see someone broken down. In our experience you will always find a mate to help you fix it or tow you to the nearest service.
WHERE SHOULD I SLEEP?
Up to you, fancy princess. Do you choose hotels or tents? Just remember that it is cold during the winter edition. Don’t freeze to death please.
DO I NEED 4×4?
No! AWD SUCKS. Grow some balls and take RWD or FWD.
CAN I HAVE SPONSORS?
Of course. We know of people who spent 0€ because of sponsors. If you know how to ask for money or parts, DO IT. Just remember to leave space on your vehicle for our stickers.
CAN I HAVE A SERVICE CAR GOING WITH ME?
No. Sorry. The registration fee is for one car only.
CAN THERE BE MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE IN THE CAR?
Sure! You can take your mom and her boyfriend with a dog too. But don’t forget the pet passport and how many persons can legally be in your car.
WHAT IF I HAVE AN ACCIDENT?
Don’t drive like a mad man. Know your limits. Don’t drink and drive. If you happen to have an accident and no one is hurt follow the official european accident statement.
WHAT TO DO WITH A REGISTRATION FORM?
Use google translate and fill out the document. Pay the registration fee, print and sign the papers and terms and conditions. ALL THESE DOCUMENTS ARE IN CZECH. WE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND THEM.
WHAT IS A ROADBOOK AND IS IT IN ENGLISH?
Roadbook is a “book” of GPS coordinates and some basic info that you need to know. You will get it at least 2 weeks in advance of the rally. You will need to use the google translate or find a czech friend who can help you translate it. Every paper you get from us is in czech. Deal with it. It is part of the challenge.
